Ethics, Sourcing & Sustainability Policy

Effective Date: July 26, 2026

This policy outlines Maison Amrit's sourcing standards for metals and stones, the practices we require of our suppliers, and the labor standards we hold across our workshops.

Natural Diamond Sourcing

Natural diamonds supplied to Maison Amrit are sourced exclusively through suppliers compliant with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, the UN-mandated framework governing the trade of rough diamonds. Every natural diamond we purchase is warranted by our supplier under this standard. If a supplier is found in violation, we end that relationship immediately.

Metal Sourcing & Purity

Our gold and platinum are sourced from suppliers held to standard sourcing and labor criteria. Where available, we use recycled and secondary gold. Every gold piece we sell is BIS Hallmarked, a government-administered mark confirming the exact purity of the metal, so what's stated on your piece is independently verifiable, not only our own claim.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The difference is formation: grown in a controlled lab environment over a period of weeks, rather than formed underground over billions of years. Full detail on grading and disclosure is on Certification & Authenticity.

Independent Certification & Transparency

We source and sell only certified stones. Every significant Natural Diamond, Lab-Grown Diamond, or Natural or Lab-Grown Gemstone used in a Maison Amrit piece is graded by an independent laboratory, IGI, GIA, or SGL, and the original grading certificate is shared with you at the time of purchase, alongside the piece itself.

Labor Practices

As an Indian jewelry maison, we require fair labor practices at every stage of our supply chain and workshops. Child labor and exploitative working conditions are prohibited without exception, across our own operations and our suppliers'.
