Questions, answered.

Everything about ordering, pricing, delivery, sizing, and care. If what you need is not here, the answer is one message away.

Location & Visits

How the house operates, and what digital-first means in practice.

Do you have a store I can visit?

No. We are digital-first and operate entirely online. Our Lucknow office is where orders are processed and dispatched from, not a showroom, and we do not receive customers there. Every stage, from the first conversation to delivery, happens remotely.

Where are you based?

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Maison Amrit OPC Private Limited is registered at 32, Aminabad Park, Second Floor, Lucknow, UP 226018, India. That address exists for correspondence and company records. It is not open for visits.

Can I see or try a piece before I order?

Not in person. Nothing is held as stock, so there is no inventory to view, every piece is made after you order it.

What we do instead: each product page carries the full specification, total carat weight, stone shape and grade, gold weight at each purity, and finish. For fit, we dispatch a complimentary sizer before production begins. And you can put any question to us directly before you decide.

Can I speak to someone before buying?

Yes. WhatsApp is fastest for anything quick. For a commission, a virtual consultation with Amrit is complimentary and runs 30 to 45 minutes.

Are your pieces sold anywhere else?

No. Every piece is sold directly through this website.

Orders & Payments

Placing an order, paying for it, and what we need from you.

What payment methods do you accept?

Checkout runs through Razorpay. Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, UPI, and EMI are accepted. Card details go directly to the bank or gateway and are never stored on our site.

Is GST included in the displayed price?

No. The displayed price excludes GST. Applicable GST is calculated at checkout and shown to you before payment.

Why do you ask for my PAN card?

Government of India regulations make a Permanent Account Number mandatory on any purchase of INR 2,00,000 or above, or the equivalent in another currency. Separately, a valid government-issued ID such as an Aadhar Card or PAN Card is required for identity verification at the time of delivery.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing your order. Inside that window you can cancel for a full refund, or modify the order, for example change ring size, upgrade metal purity, or add a matching band. Any additional charge for a modification is collected upfront or before delivery.

After 24 hours, production has begun. Cancellation at that point is subject to a pro-rata fee based on the manufacturing stage already reached, and the remaining balance is refunded to your original payment source.

My payment was deducted but no order was created. What happens?

Contact us and we will resolve it. Our systems also monitor for this independently of customer reports and initiate a reversal for any deducted payment that did not produce a successful order. Reversals are subject to standard banking settlement time of 5 to 7 working days.

Who can place an order?

Anyone 18 years of age or older who is capable of forming a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

Made-to-Order & Pricing

How pricing works when nothing is held in stock.

What does Made-to-Order actually mean?

We hold no finished inventory. Your piece is manufactured after you order it, to the metal, purity, and size you selected. That is why timelines are longer than stocked retail, and why returns work differently.

Why can the final price change after I order?

No two lab-grown diamonds or gemstones are dimensionally identical. Where a stone differs from the CAD specification, or we source the nearest available size, the gold is adjusted to hold it securely and protect the design. Total carat weight and gold weight can move either way, typically within 5 to 8 percent.

If the final weight comes in under the estimate, the difference is refunded before dispatch. If it comes in over, we invoice the difference and confirm with you before collecting anything.

Will I be told before anything changes?

Yes. Any change is confirmed with you before your piece enters production. Nothing is charged without your knowledge.

How is the gold in my piece priced?

Precious metal is a pass-through material, billed at prevailing market rates. We do not profit from the raw gold itself. Our margin sits in making charges, which cover artisan labor, craftsmanship, and the manufacturing steps required to produce the design. The rate applied to your order is checked and locked when your order is received.

Does metal tone change the price?

No. Yellow, white, and rose are priced identically. Gold purity changes the price, tone does not.

Can I modify a design before ordering?

Yes. Any design on this site can be the starting point for a bespoke piece, a different stone, a different setting, a different scale. That conversation begins on the bespoke page.

Shipping & Delivery

Timelines, insurance, and what happens at your door.

How long will my order take?

Orders are ready in 10 to 14 business days. That window covers manufacturing, quality control, mandatory hallmarking, and domestic transit combined, not manufacturing alone. More intricate designs take longer, and bespoke commissions run on their own timeline of 2 to 8 weeks.

Is my shipment insured?

Yes. Every piece is insured during transit. Risk of loss transfers to you only after the package has been securely handed over and verified at the destination address. We ship through specialized secure logistics providers such as Sequel, DHL, and FedEx.

What happens at the time of delivery?

Two checks, both required before the package is handed over:

  • Delivery OTP. A specific OTP is sent to your registered mobile number. Do not share any other OTP with the delivery executive.
  • In-person ID verification. The courier requires a physical check of a valid national ID such as Aadhar, PAN, or Passport. A snapshot may be collected to confirm identity.

Packages are not left unattended, dropped at a reception desk, or handed to a neighbor without explicit prior authorization and matching verification.

Do I really need to record an unboxing video?

Yes, if you ever need to raise a claim. A continuous, unedited video showing the sealed package from all sides, the tamper-evident seal being broken, and the unboxing in a single take is required to process any transit insurance claim. Without it, neither we nor our insurance partners can process claims for missing items, empty boxes, or transit damage.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. For international orders you are responsible for any import duties, VAT, or local taxes levied by the destination country. We have no control over these charges. Your local customs authority may require a National ID, Passport, or Tax ID to clear the shipment.

Returns, Cancellations & Exchanges

What is possible, what is not, and the reasoning behind both.

Can I return a piece if I change my mind?

Made-to-order and bespoke pieces are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, because they are built specifically for you rather than held as stock. The 24-hour cancellation window exists for exactly this reason, and after that, the Exchange and Upgrade program is how you part with a piece.

Items listed as Ready-to-Ship can be exchanged within 15 days of delivery, provided they are unworn, undamaged, and the tamper-evident hygiene tag is fully intact. If that tag is removed or altered, the exchange is rejected.

What if my piece arrives with a defect or damage?

Capture it in the unboxing video and share it with us within 24 hours of delivery. Once verified, we arrange a secure pickup at our cost, repair the item, and ship it back to you. We do not issue refunds for repairable defects.

Can I exchange a piece toward something new later?

Yes, through our structured Exchange and Upgrade program. We do not offer cash buybacks. The program applies strictly to exchanging your existing piece for credit toward a new purchase from us.

Lab-grown diamonds purchased from us are valued at 80 percent of their original invoice value. Gold is evaluated per gram on net recovered pure gold weight at the prevailing market rate on the day of exchange, since a minor weight loss occurs naturally during refining. Making charges, CAD fees, and taxes are excluded from all valuations.

Are any stones excluded from that valuation?

Yes. Diamonds that are custom cut, fancy cut, fancy-shaped, or 5.00 carats and above are not eligible under the fixed program and are evaluated at our discretion, depending on market conditions at the time. Natural diamonds and natural or lab-grown gemstones are also valued at our discretion, based on original invoice value, condition, and prevailing market conditions.

Are making charges refundable?

No. Making charges represent labor and resources already consumed, so they are non-refundable and excluded from every exchange and upgrade valuation.

Do you provide a valuation certificate for insurance?

We provide independent laboratory certificates confirming the authenticity and grading of your stones. We do not provide official appraisal services for insurance, tax, or third-party valuation purposes. Any valuation determined during an exchange is for that transaction only and is not a formal legal appraisal.

Sizing & Fit

Getting it right the first time, and what happens if you do not.

How do I find my ring size?

Cut a strip of paper about 6mm wide, wrap it snugly around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters against the circumference column in our size guide. We size in US with the Indian equivalent shown alongside. If you land between two sizes, size up.

What if I am not sure of my size?

Order your nearest estimate and add "send sizer" in the note at checkout. We dispatch a complimentary sizer to confirm before production begins. You can also send us your measurement directly and we will confirm it first.

Can a ring be resized after I receive it?

One complimentary resizing is available within the first 15 days of purchase, for designs that structurally allow resizing without compromising the stone setting. Not every design qualifies. Pieces requiring more extensive work are resized at a nominal charge instead, and some full-eternity settings cannot be resized without affecting the stones. We confirm feasibility and cost before proceeding.

How are bangles sized?

A bangle has to pass over your hand, so the measurement that matters is your widest knuckle, not your wrist. Sizes are marked in the traditional anna notation used by most Indian jewelers, with the millimeter equivalent shown alongside. Bracelets are different, they measure around the wrist with a little give.

Does a larger size cost more?

Larger sizes and longer chains use more metal. Where that changes the price, it is confirmed with you before dispatch, never after.

Lab-Grown Diamonds & Certification

What you are buying, and how to verify it independently.

Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?

Yes. It is pure crystallized carbon, chemically and physically identical to a natural diamond, with the same crystal structure, hardness, fire, and brilliance. It is not a simulant like cubic zirconia or moissanite. The only difference is formation, weeks in a controlled environment rather than billions of years underground. Both are graded on the same 4Cs.

Who certifies your stones?

Every stone ships with a report from IGI or SGL, independent laboratories with no stake in what you buy. The report grades carat, cut, clarity, and color, and discloses the growth method, HPHT or CVD, along with any post-growth treatment. Most stones are also laser-inscribed with the report number on the girdle, visible under 10x magnification.

Will a jeweler be able to tell it is lab-grown?

Not with the naked eye, and not with a standard diamond tester. A thermal tester confirms the stone is diamond, it cannot distinguish lab-grown from natural. Under a loupe, the laser inscription settles it. Only specialized spectroscopy equipment can confirm origin definitively, and that equipment is not present in a standard jewelry store.

Do lab-grown diamonds hold resale value?

Diamond, lab-grown or natural, is not a liquid resale asset. Both sell well below retail on resale. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. Our Exchange and Upgrade program exists precisely because the open resale market is not where value is best recovered.

Is the gold certified as well?

Yes. Every gold piece carries a BIS hallmark from the Bureau of Indian Standards confirming purity, 375 for 9K, 585 for 14K, 750 for 18K. That is a government mark, not our claim. A BIS certificate accompanies every order and states the verified gold weight and purity.

Can I order a piece with a natural diamond?

Through bespoke, yes. Our standard catalog is lab-grown diamond exclusively. Bespoke work is priced and sourced against your specific brief, so a natural diamond can be specified and sourced on request, at the corresponding natural diamond price. Natural gemstones work the same way.

Metals & Care

Choosing a purity, and keeping the piece the way it arrived.

Which gold purity should I choose?

It depends on how you plan to wear it, not on which is better.

  • 9K. The most durable of the three and most resistant to everyday scratching. Best for daily wear with minimal upkeep.
  • 14K. The balance most of our pieces are built on, durable enough for daily wear with a warmer tone than 9K.
  • 18K. The richest color and the softest metal of the three. Shows surface marks sooner and rewards a gentler hand.

Full detail is in the metal guide.

Why does white gold look the same at every purity?

Because the bright white you see is rhodium plating over the gold alloy, and rhodium looks identical whether the gold underneath is 9K, 14K, or 18K. The alloy underneath still differs, and that shows up later in durability and re-plating frequency. Yellow and rose gold are not plated, so purity shows immediately in the depth of color.

Will the rhodium plating wear off?

Over time, yes. Plating wear is a natural occurrence dictated by individual usage, skin chemistry, and exposure to chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, and soaps. It does not constitute a manufacturing defect. Re-plating is available at a nominal cost.

How is platinum different from white gold?

Platinum is a different metal, not a shade of gold. It is naturally white rather than plated, roughly 1.6 times denser so the same design sits heavier, and it displaces rather than loses metal when scratched, developing a soft patina instead of thinning. Our standard is PT950, 95 percent pure. It also needs less frequent care, though resizing and repairs take longer and cost more than in gold.

How do I clean my jewelry at home?

Warm water, a few drops of mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Soak for a few minutes, brush gently around the setting where dust collects, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth. Every few weeks is enough if you wear the piece often.

Colored gemstones and materials like enamel, mother of pearl, and onyx are softer and more porous. Skip the soak for those, a quick wipe with a damp cloth is safer. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners at home, they are fine for some settings and not safe for all, so ask us first.

Do you offer cleaning or servicing?

Yes. Complimentary professional ultrasonic cleaning and polishing is available for your pieces, and we will check the setting is still secure while it is with us. Cleaning does not include repairs, and shipping costs to and from our facility are borne by you.

If a stone feels like it is moving at all, stop wearing the piece and send it in. We will re-secure it.

What is covered under warranty?

A lifetime warranty against structural manufacturing defects. Repairs necessitated by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or lost stones incur a nominal repair and material charge. Any alteration, resizing, or repair performed by a jeweler other than us voids all warranties and exchange eligibility.

Bespoke Commissions

Commissioning something that does not exist yet.

How does the bespoke process work?

Four stages. A direct conversation with Amrit to establish the idea, complimentary and around 30 to 45 minutes. A CAD render shared for your written approval, with up to two revision rounds included. Sourcing your stone against our standard. Then hand-finishing, hallmarking, and a final sign-off before it reaches you.

Is there a design fee?

Conversations are complimentary. Once design work begins, a deposit applies, INR 5,000 for simple commissions and INR 10,000 for complex ones. It is non-refundable once designing starts, and credited in full against your final invoice on completion.

How long does a commission take?

Most bespoke projects take 2 to 8 weeks depending on design complexity and material availability. You hear from us at every stage, particularly if a timeline needs to shift.

Can I see the design before it goes into production?

Yes. A CAD rendering is shared for your approval before any metal or stone work begins, and all approvals are documented in writing.

Do I own the design?

You are commissioning the finished piece, not the underlying design. All designs and renderings remain the intellectual property of Maison Amrit OPC Private Limited. Raw CAD files and manufacturing blueprints are not provided. Secrecy and exclusivity of a bespoke design can be maintained on request.
